Sahaja Samadhi – It’s Supposed to Be Easy, Right?

This is truly the final, end all, be all state of consciousness that you will ever be able to achieve ever.

How about that for an ultimatum?

But I thought nirvikalpa was the highest? Isn’t that what all the great masters have said?

Ah yes!  They have!  But all things, old and new, are meant to be built upon.  Think about how humanity used to live in homes made of clay and mortar.  Now you can see giant skyscrapers shining in the night sky.  The same goes with literature, philosophy, and writing. As society discovers new ways of looking at the world, someone else comes along to make it that much better.

For example: Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, which was written back around 400 CE, was the first piece of foundational yogic literature on samadhi and highest states of consciousness.  It was elaborated upon further by (in chronological order):

  • Lahiri Mahasaya – 1800’s
  • Sivananda – late 1800 to early/mid 1900’s
  • Yogananda –  early to mid 1900’s
  • K. Taimni – mid to late 1900’s
  • Sri Chinmoy – late 1900’s

I am sure there have been others, but the authors here have been quoted most ubiquitously in writings on yoga.

OM AUM Symbol

I first read about Sahaja samadhi with Swami Sivananda and Ramana Maharshi.  I don’t know if he was the first to write about it, but the Sanskrit word sahajavastha which refers to “natural” or “easy” attainment of samadhi, is used in his writings.

Sri Chinmoy also elaborated upon sahaja samadhi further using the analogy of a building.  You could view Sahaja samadhi as the very top floor or even the entire building itself. At the very top, you have the opportunity to experience all floors and don’t necessarily need to come down to those lower levels.  It is all a matter of choice.

Once attaining this natural state of samadhi, you will have a chance to go higher, if you please. This is because sahaja samadhi is made of two different sections. One section is finite – meaning it can be counted as a definable end, whereas the second portion is infinitely large and goes on forever!

Now that’s a thought… how can our level of consciousness (LOC) continue to increase forever???

Seems kind of impossible, right?

There are many seemingly impossible things in this world – such as the existence of life itself, on this tiny little planet, in perfect orbit, in a solar system that is amongst billions of others in a galaxy that is one in a billion of others, in one known portion of our infinitely unknown universe.

See how it could go on and on?

Try not to fathom it too much, otherwise you may go a little bonkers!

Refocus!

With Sahaja samadhi you will be able to naturally have the stillness and peace of savikalpa, while being “out-of-body” with asamprajñata, and still being able to maintain the fabulous bliss consciousness of nirvikalpa.

AND… you will be able to do it immediately! Right now! In this moment!

Doesn’t that sound worth it?  To be immediately peaceful, happy, joyful, blissful in any moment that you choose?  In nirvikalpa it takes extreme effort to maintain the bliss once you gain it.  In sahaja, you point, click, and boom! You are there. Literally that is all takes. Point your attention to your eyebrows, practice a little kechari mudra, and the infinite flow of bliss comes.

This is, at least, how it is for me.

I am not trying to brag or anything, because that is not why the Divine provides such wonderful blessings. Instead I am here to teach you to rise above the petty squabbling of everyday activities and reach forth into meditation, to pull out the gems of joy consciousness.

This blessing of sahaja samadhi continues through pure spontaneity of bliss as it can be completely immersive in one moment and gone in the next.  In this way, your body becomes in control by the Divine.

The Divine may use you to help others by submersing you in such an ocean of bliss, that a mere look from you could change their spiritual situation forever. Sometimes it is the exact opposite… no bliss may be present, but it is because verbal communication is more necessary for the encounter. This is because it is in fact very difficult, initially, to verbally communicate easily while immersed.

The first time I was immersed in public, I was walking through a Chinese grocery store called SuGuo in the Jiangsu province in downtown Baoying, China. It was very cold outside and our only means of transportation were bicycles. Packed in a heavy coat, long underwear, and thick socks, my wife and I slowly made our way to downtown.

It would stand to reason that to maintain a blissful immersion would be impossible on a bicycle… but alas! I remember riding very slowly because my limbs felt very dysfunctional.  I knew I wasn’t floating on air, but that is how the body felt!

Once we got to the supermarket, we took the escalator up, and got our shopping cart. As I slowly began to walk around the store, the bliss intensified. All I remember was feeling so lost in elation that I forgot how to push the cart!  Jessie, my wife, not exactly sure what was going on with me, had the pull the cart with me attached to it!  What a truly blessed experience!

Throughout my time in China I was the most deeply immerse because God had a special purpose in mind.  In those moments, the Creator’s bliss was more easily spread throughout the town of Baoying because I had been such a willing host.  I just let the Lord do whatever He wanted with this body.  The more willing I was, the better the experience, and the more joy and bliss I received as a result.

In sahaja samadhi, your bliss will occur more spontaneously, but in some ways it will be more difficult to maintain. The reason for this is because the causal body, the last “physical” layer enclosing the soul, will have become permanently removed.

Soul's Love

This causal body is present in nirvikalpa samadhi and encloses the soul, keeping its pure, reflected love from escaping as easily. This is why nirvikalpa is so intense and considered the highest version of samadhi itself.

What people don’t usually understand is that when you enter into sahaja samadhi, the intensity of bliss becomes more naturalized. It becomes a natural and spontaneous occurrence.  You will be able to conjure it, through effort, but that joy becomes naturally a part of your every day being.

If you want the intensity and depth of nirvikalpa all the time, then you will have to practice entering into nirvikalpa while in sahaja samadhi as much as possible.

I personally do this by sambhavi mudra, coupled with a full kechari mudra, and finally using the jalandhara bandha.  This is essentially full focus at the third eye, activation of amrita with the tongue, and using the throat lock to the keep the energy from dropping. All these techniques are also great activators, but are also great for maintaining.

I do these techniques EVERY day – literally every morning, all day long, and at night as well.  I just want to be blissful all the time!  I just can’t get enough of it!

The reason for this is because life on planet Earth is hard!  Also the more bliss I can maintain, the better life becomes. This is because your thoughts attract and create everything around you with the Law of Attraction.

Bliss = Good things

Never-ending Bliss = Good things happening all the time whether you want them to or not!

That is the life I want to live.  Immersed in bliss, happiness, joy, and peace.  I think this is what everyone wants.  No one wants to be unhappy.  Some people appear as though they enjoy being grumpy, but I don’t think they know how good it feels to be happy – all the time.

So… Thanks for getting interested in my blog posts. I have some ebooks available for you to read, if you haven’t gotten started yet.  If you are interested in reading on a tablet or kindle reader, below are a list of those books and where you can buy them.

Your Guide to Scientific Self-Realization

Part I: The Science – https://www.amazon.com/Your-Guide-Scientific-Self-Realization-Science-ebook/dp/B01I0D6MZA

Part II: The Ascension – https://www.amazon.com/Your-Guide-Scientific-Self-Realization-Ascension-ebook/dp/B01LDOKO0M

Part III: The Summit – https://www.amazon.com/Your-Guide-Scientific-Self-Realization-Summit-ebook/dp/B01N06LN1N

In Your Guide to Scientific Self-Realization, I have much more detail about the states of consciousness leading up to self-realization and God-realization. This book is meant explain the many aspects of self-realization, from the viewpoints of all major world religions and philosophical schools of thought.

In no way do I want to advertise one world religion over another.  I believe in the sanctity of the Divine and Its expression in a multitude of forms.  This means that whether you are Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, or Jewish, you will be able to find some familiarity with this book.

All paths of love are paths to God.  They may not have a prophet or Christ-like character that leads their faith, but that doesn’t mean their brand of religious thought is wrong – it is just different!

The goal of the book is to bridge the gap of religious intolerance by the use of yoga. Yoga is the greatest spiritual practice ever given to humankind.  This is because it can span any religion and give meaning to any belief practice.

Yoga whether practiced physically, mentally, or spiritually will lead to great gains in your life.  It doesn’t have to be in levels of consciousness, but measured in love, peace, and happiness.

Its simple really…

At the end of 2017, I plan to have a print version of the 3 ebooks above.

Stay tuned and I will have it available for you soon.

Nirvikalpa Samadhi – How Your Wildest Dreams Come True!

This level of consciousness (LOC) is considered the end all be all.

This is the blissful state where you can transcend time and space with just a mere thought.

It is the place where all your wildest dreams really do come true…

Really?

Well… there are SOME stipulations you SHOULD be aware of… but we will get to that!

According to most theologians and philosophers, self-realization is characterized by nirvikalpa samadhi (NrS). But NrS is really more than just the realization of the self, it is the purest realization of God.

Nirvikalpa is not self-realization, but God-realization!

So… what’s the difference???

Self-Realization

In self-realization you come to the awareness that the self is really a part of the greater whole.  But you don’t just experience it, you literally become it.

Some believe that it arrives when you simply realize that you are not the physical body.

Some believe you are “self-realized” after having an out-of-body experience or entering into a samadhi-like state.

This is also wrong.

Self-realization is entry into savikalpa samadhi through a divine superconscious experience.  During this process the kundalini becomes activated and true stillness is gained in the greatest minor samadhi.

However, this is PARTIAL self-realization.  There are different steps you must take before entering into the fullest version of self-realization called God-realization.

Self-realization is really a generalized category for any LOC you have achieved at savikalpa samadhi and up.  Once you achieve nirvikalpa samadhi, true God-realization begins.

So… then what is God-realization?

God-Realization

You will realize God.

It really is that simple, but let’s first define it.

Well, in self-realization, you come to know the your “self” as a greater part of the whole. In God-realization, the whole no longer becomes relevant.  This is because of the nature of non-duality [see this blog post].

Duality is the existence of physical, subtle, and ideational material. While non-duality is the existence of non-existence.

All of us have created something before. These creations – whether painting, woodworking, or drawing come from some base materials. Take a canvas, paints, and paintbrushes and a beautiful Mona Lisa masterpiece can suddenly arrive. This is the same as what our Creator did for us. The Divine created a world for us, so that we could have the fullest experience of creation.

But… this Creator knew it couldn’t just create plants and animals.  It had to create a pure version of Itself in creation. Otherwise, the Creator couldn’t experience Itself within that creation. This is what you are, a smaller version of that pure Higher Self.

This is your purpose on this Earth as a human – to realize yourself as the Higher Self in the larger form of God.  Since God is beyond and outside of any created thing, it is non-dual and thus is non-existent.  Well, sort of.

This is a difficult concept to get, but to realize yourself as God is to realize that nothing truly exists. This non-existence is non-duality – which is outside the nature of dualistic opposites.

Only time itself gives us the perception that everything has a physical form and changes with “forward” progression. This form is anything felt, seen, heard, tasted, or smelled.

Over time, a person born brand new in the world eventually gets old and wrinkly; only to pass on becoming dust again.  This is the nature of the duality which seemingly rules the world we live in.

Becoming God-realized, (thus a part of a non-dual existence) you will break the rules of this physical world, transcend time and space, and realize the following:

  • The physical body can be manipulated by your will as you see fit
  • Everything is just God manifested into physical, mental, and emotional “stuff”
  • Nothing is ever truly in opposition to another
  • Nothing ever really changes
  • The Nothingness is what gives rise to Everything

Because of God-realization, masters have shown us many signs and wonders to prove to us the true nature of reality.

  • Jesus the Christ and his many miracles with feeding the five thousand, turning water into wine, and healing the terminally ill by mere touch and word
  • Theresa of Avila was known to levitate and disappear/reappear at will and spontaneously by God’s will
  • Therese Neumann having the power of inedia ate only a Catholic wafer every Thursday for at least thirty years in a row with no other food or water and survived with both life and vigor.
  • Lahiri Mahasaya created two bodies for himself, could levitate, and heal anyone he chose by mere word
  • There have also been many yogis, saints, and other modern-day avatars who have achieved God-realization to show many miraculous powers and miracles.
  • Some of these masters have just been supremely blissful and this blissful path has been chosen for you as well.

OM AUM Symbol

God-realization is really whatever you make of it.  What do you really desire?  It is to float on air without wings or live without food?  Or maybe you just want the infinite peace and joy that can never be broken; not even for a moment.

This was my desire – to be joyful all the time.  As a child, I struggled hard with depression and thought that I would never rid myself of my mental and emotional obsessions. After I found my guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, I soon found out there was a better path. Within four short years I had achieved nirvikalpa samadhi and much more!

This type of God-realized joy-bliss-awesomeness is for everyone.  It is not just for the masters of old, but for you as well.

When reaching this state, don’t expect great powers to suddenly be yours.  What is characteristic of this state is infinite joy-bliss. So much so, that walking around is difficult! Anything else sought after would be foolish. This is because bliss is the truest reality of SPIRIT.

OM AUM Symbol

Self-realization and ultimately God-realization is really very simple. Many individuals who are intellectual about the whole process, don’t really understand it at all.

God doesn’t care about how smart you are, He doesn’t care how much money you donate, and He doesn’t care how many friends you have either. He cares how much you love and what you do as a result of this love. That might sound harsh but think of it this way:

  • If you can intellectually talk about God, but don’t have the wisdom to know when to speak about God, how does it benefit His creation?
  • If you give a lot of money to an organization, which ultimately uses it for evil, what positive purpose has it truly served?
  • If you claim to have many friends, but very few of them are true friends, then what is the benefit of friendship?

Love is the highest way to be and you must be both loving and humble in all ways to achieve God’s highest realizations. Through this love (and humility), great gifts are given.  Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself.  That is the true trinity of love that we often forget about.

If you can love God and everyone else as much as you love yourself, then you will reach the Kingdom of Heaven.

As for nirvikalpa, the ability to access unending love and bliss at any time is truly powerful and will transcend any conflicting moments in our life.  It will give you the drive and purpose you need to be the best version of yourself.  With this energy you will conquer hate, anger, frustration, self-doubt, and fear.

Some individuals will be given great powers as a result of their entry into nirvikalpa. You might be able to heal someone by mere touch or even with a word. To have absolute command over your words is the mark of a true master, but these gifts are not given easily.

You must be the purest representation of humility, kindness, compassion, and love to receive such wonderful powers. Some yogis may work for decades achieving these yogic siddhis. For the average workingman and woman this may not be possible with the constant day-to-day activities that have to be endured.

I, myself, have been given some gifts, but my only true desire was to have the unending joy of the Divine. This is exactly what I have received and if I can do more, it is because the Divine has a special purpose in allowing me access to greater yogic power.  It is not things I seek on my own, but I do realize that by seeking and merging with the Divine, that this body shall eventually reach the highest state possible.

Om and Astral Samadhis

Also while in nirvikalpa, you will have the opportunity to experience an Om/Aum samadhi and an Astral samadhi.

Om Samadhi

The Om samadhi takes advantage of the sound you hear in deep meditation – the resonant, deep, rumbling of a waterfall with the vastness of a never-ending ocean.  This is the sound of Om.

You might hear this sound at lower levels of consciousness, but it is merely a reduced version called “Om minor samadhi.” When you hear Om, overwhelmed with bliss in nirvikalpa samadhi, it will transform your being attuning you permanently to its creation vibration, bringing you to God-realization.

In the Christian scripture, Acts 2:1-4, it says:

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
~ NASB

Although most Christian theologians would interpret this passage being associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit after the Jesus’s ascension, I associate this passage with:

  • Hearing the sound of OM – “…suddenly there came from heaven a noise…”
  • The activation of the Kundalini energy – “And there appeared to them tongues as of fire…”
  • The onset of self-realization – “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit…”

Which, in fact, these are the gifts of the Holy Spirit. That’s if you believe the Holy Spirit can also gift you the realization of Divine’s consciousness.

Ultimately, Om is to attune your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies to receive God’s highest gift as love-joy-bliss.

Astral Samadhi

The Astral samadhi usually comes second in this pairing, because so many individuals are visually oriented.  To see the subtle universe that lies beyond the physical world is at best, difficult!  To hear the subtle realms is easier, because most of the time your eyes will be closed during meditation.

The Astral samadhi to most will come at the physically-measured end of nirvikalpa samadhi.  (After reading the book and learning accurate muscle testing, this will make much more sense.)

This is also because the deeper the bliss, the more occupied your brain will be on bliss.  When the brain is preoccupied with bliss consciousness, all that you will think about is bliss.

You will most likely stare off into space, being immersed in such fantastic sensations, because nothing else will appear to matter.  In these moments with eyes open, you will probably experience an astral samadhi.  You won’t realize it of course because real God-bliss, at first, is so overwhelming that you will totter around like a drunkard. This is because you won’t understand how to keep the bliss, while physically moving around. Also because physically moving around may prevent the bliss from manifesting in the deepest way.

For myself, I can keep the deepest state of bliss, even while I am in the office with clients and patients. As long as they don’t ask me too many questions, I can usually maintain it.  However, if I converse more with the client, then I often will lose bits and pieces of the deepest part of the bliss consciousness.

Ultimately, having pure nirvikalpa bliss will make you less functional in the “real” world.  If you live a busy life, it will be difficult to achieve this state.  You will need to time to sit, relax, and silence the body as much as possible. It can be done in the standing position, but seated is best.

I will say that some days, I don’t experience any deep bliss and some days it is so profound I get lost!  Most of the time it is moderated by keeping constant attention towards the third eye and practicing other yogic positions to keep the energy away from the lower body.

So… here’s the deal… do you like being happy?

Do you like the idea of being blissful at any time, for any reason, under any circumstances?  Sounds idealistic, right?  Well it is to some degree, but those who are dedicated and determined they will reach their goal.

But what is the goal?  Is it just nirvikalpa alone?  Or is there something more?

In the next blog post we will talk about the highest form of samadhi.  It is even higher than nirvikalpa, but more natural and spontaneous.

Stay tuned friends, we are still on our way to the top!

Patanjali Yoga Sutras Sanskrit

Asamprajñata samadhi

This level of consciousness is a remarkable discovery for the understanding of self-realization.

Originally, when I began determining the different LOCs and their values, I tested that Asamprajñata (Añ) was not the same as Nirvikalpa samadhi (NrS), as Patanjali originally explained.

Now, when you read the original translation, it appears that Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras is explaining that Añ and NrS are the same.  This is how many historians and writers have explained the existence of two names for the same state.  Patanjali says that NrS is the highest state to exist or the most enlightened experience.

In reality, these two names mean relatively similar things, but ultimately they are different.

I discovered that Añ is really a transitional state to NrS and the major samadhi experience that is associated with this ultimate bliss state.  Unfortunately, you will never be able to just jump into the highest state possible.  This is because your body would burn out from the intense out-of-body experience.

The body is like a lightbulb. Each lightbulb has its own wattage or a limited amount of power that can be channeled into it.  This is the same with people.  Notice how some people have enough energy for themselves and everyone around them. And then there are some who can barely lift a finger 15 minutes after getting out bed.

You yourself have your own energy and a certain level of power that you can receive, maintain, and give.  Depending on how strong your filament is (or the body’s energy meridians) the more power you can receive and maintain from life-sustaining activities.

These activities generally are centered around renewal, repair, and support.  Whether you are eating really good food, hiking in a forest, or having a time of silence – the body’s bulb during these activities becomes recharged.

For those who are householders, becoming a part of asamprajñata experience would be unnerving, preventing them from adjusting to a normal lifestyle.

For those who aspire to achieve this state and are still living a married life with children, will have to work hard to maintain this transitional state.

After I had written my book and discovered all these levels of consciousness, later on in my research for my new book, I found a work by I.K. Taimni called The Science of Yoga.  He had already described Añ as a transitional state! One that you could oscillate between before ascending into NrS or nibija samadhi.

At this point, I realized that my muscle testing had been accurate!  That indeed I wasn’t going crazy, but in fact was able to accurately test for information that already existed in the world of self-realization.

If that was the case, then you could say that most if not all the information presented in my new book is the next step in our understanding of these enlightened states.

Taimni described many other things about samadhi that I encourage you to read about it.  Other modern-day masters have reflected upon his own masterful ability to accurately understand and interpret Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.  Which are at best cryptic, unless you have a solid foundation in Sanskrit.

In my own discoveries, I realized that Asamprajñata (Añ) is the place where great things occur:

  • the rate of flow for the kundalini
  • the true absence of gross awareness
  • the automatic pulling of karma
  • the full realization of non-duality
  • breathlessness
  • the descension of God’s Light
  • the merging with the VOID
  • true joy

In the above occurrences you will be constantly fluctuating and changing.  This is the oscillation that occurs between samprajñata and asamprajñata, as originally described in detail by I.K. Taimni and inadvertently unearthed by myself in meditation through muscle testing.

The flow of the kundalini will be the first measurement taken. To think that the kundalini could actually be measured!  But in reality, everything that has some type of movement, has kinetic energy associated with it.  In this way, it should be measureable, right?

The kundalini has a tendency to pulse in predictable manner based upon how deep you go in meditation.  If you extend yourself longer, deeper, and more devotionally in meditation, the greater your benefit will be thus increasing the flow rate of the kundalini.

Ultimately you will want your kundalini always flowing, bringing the pulse rate down to zero seconds.  Meaning that the flow rate is always occurring, instead just pulsing through the chakras at regular intervals.

Through this process, you will begin to experience true absence of awareness of the body, especially in the hands, feet, arms, and legs.  This can happen out of the blue, at any time, for any reason.  You may be doing something really simple and all of sudden be unaware of your full-body proprioception.   This could be as simple as holding a glass of water.

You may be looking at the hand, realizing that you are physically holding it, but be totally unattached physically to the hand itself.  Literally becoming dissociated from it!  It is a very cool experience, but is transient in nature.

This absence comes from the pulling of energy from the limbs to channel through the chakras to help push the kundalini pulses higher and higher into the brain, allowing for greater attunement in self-realization.

This is the beyond-creation, non-dual reality that I spoke about in my earlier blogs posts. This non-dual reality is the true nature of everything.  You and me, we are just microcosms fully connected to an infinitely larger macrocosm.

As you acknowledge this non-dual system by continually increasing your experience of bodily unawareness, a few things will occur:

You will begin to help others to ascend by pulling and burning their karma for them and you will become completely breathless!

Now, I don’t recommend for anyone to assume that they can intentionally pull karma from whomever they choose.

This is VERY dangerous!

If you are a healer and working with a cancer patient, do you think you really want to take on their physical karma?  Well… if you do, your own time on Earth will be cut very short!

The Divine will allow you to pull karma from those who it is meant for. In this way, the burning of others karma (in the most proper way) will help you to ascend because you will have to actively take your mind off of the physical discomfort while you help others with their suffering.

That is the great blessing of this state of consciousness – to know that you are NOT the body, but in fact SPIRIT!

You are the pure embodiment of all that is good in this universe and beyond!  The infinite love and light of the Creator is waiting within you to help others ascend to greater fulfillment in their life.

Another aspect that will occur is breathlessness. This will happen naturally and you will almost be able to activate it at will.  This process should not be forced and generally will come gently and unexpectedly.

You will just suddenly become aware of the fact that you are not breathing. This thought process will be subtle, but you will notice no breath, but it will be most enjoyable!  This breathlessness is what allows you to experience God’s true joy.  This is also measureable and becomes easier as you increase in LOC (levels of consciousness).

After all the energy meridians and chakras have been cleared and cleaned through by the ascension of the kundalini, God’s Light can now descend in your subtle spine, filling you will great joy.

This Light Descension has seven levels to it and is characterized by which chakra the Light fills. As the spine begins to fill up, you will start to merge even deeper with non-duality, but in the VOID itself.

The VOID is the “space” where the non-dual SPIRIT lies. It is a space, but not a space. It is a place where nothing can be known – not even muscle tested.  In this test I could not muscle test a thing. I could not become aware any known “thing”.  I had to surpass this state by not asking questions to discover, but by feeling my way through the darkness of the VOID.

At the “end” of this darkness you will then be able to experience pure joy.  This will only be the start of what is possible. Just a mere taste on the tip of your tongue.  The Divine wants you to continue to grow and push towards the ultimate goal.  The only way sometimes to do this is to tease with what you could be experiencing all the time.

Could you imagine it?

Wonderful, pure, unadulterated joy all the time?!?

I can!  And the reason why I can is because that is the consciousness that God has blessed me with.  To be able to activate joy and bliss whenever I choose.  That is everyone’s goal.  To be able to experience the bliss of the Divine whenever they choose?

Sounds nice, right?

Well… this blog and my book, Your Guide to Scientific Self-Realization: Part II: The Ascension will be your guidebook to your wildest dreams and your greatest accomplishments.

This last blog post was a lot to think about.  I don’t expect you to digest it all at once, but realize there are many sources out there on this stuff.  I have attempted to combine it all into book for you.

I have yet to see a book do this, so I am definitely excited for you to read it!

The final installment is coming out in the next couple of months and I am so excited for you out there that are truly interested.

Be well and next time we will talk about the greatest state ever known – Nirvikalpa Samadhi

~ Dr. Derek

Savikalpa Minor Samadhi

Savikalpa – The Greatest Minor Samadhi

Do you want real inner peace?

I’m talking the kind that moves mountains and calms the raging seas…

In this state of samadhi you are truly blessed with real stillness and real silence of mind.

This is the blessed state of Savikalpa Samadhi.

This is total peace of mind.

In this state you will come to realize the true nature of silence. After breaking through into the Divine’s garden, filled with love and light, you will gain true tranquility.

Do you know what authentic peace is all about? It is to have a calm and relaxed mind that allows you transcend fears, worries, and chronic anxieties.

I didn’t have an inkling of what that really meant… all I knew is that others had it, I didn’t, but I was willing to gain it by whatever means.

OM AUM Symbol

Savikalpa is greatest minor samadhi to ever exist.

However, it comes with some stipulations.  After initiation you will not become perfectly aware of all things in heaven and earth… oh no… instead you will be constantly tested.

When initiated you will become opened up to anything and everything that exists in the universe.  Your mind will be an open book to all beings, entities, and other forces that lives in the cosmos. Some of these forces are good and some are evil.  If you are armed with a strong mind and an even stronger will, then you will not yield.

Now for those of you who don’t believe in a creator… that’s fine.  BUT there are some entities and spiritual beings that are not out your highest good. They are there to trick you into making promises and compromises that are for their purposes.

Personally, I still experience these tricksters on a daily basis.  They are there almost all the time for those who are doing the good work.

Many do not understand how they can act upon you and your surroundings.  I will explain that plus what you will need to battle them.

Let’s first talk about what they are.

Some refer to them as entities, negative forces, or for those who are religiously inclined – demons and fallen angels.

Yes, I know what you are thinking… these things really exist?

Or maybe you are thinking… this guy has got to be nuts?!?

I am the kind of man that has been created to question everything. I desire to find a rational answer to all of life’s mysteries, even when the answer may not appear to sensible or logical in nature.

In this way, I am spiritual scientist, doing soul research through advanced meditation. In my discoveries, the only realistic explanation for happenings that are unexplainable by our limited, but modern scientific methods, end up being subtle and spiritually-related.

Let me further explain…

When I entered into savikalpa samadhi, I had to work hard to keep my thoughts in line with the Divine. Let me tell you!  These dark forces either try to build you up (bloated ego) or break you down (deflated ego).  It can occur while you are awake or during sleep.

If you are really successful in life, especially financially, then building you up is easy.  The insertion of self-righteous and self-inflating thoughts is no problem for them.  This ultimately makes you feel like you are better than others and this is as wrong as them trying to break you down.

The absolute bliss joy state of nirvikalpa samadhi is the only way to escape this permanently. However, you will not be able to enter into the blissful state automatically; this state will only be available to you when you become initiated in nirvikalpa samadhi. After this point, no harm – mental, emotional, or spiritual will ever come to you again.

So what do we do in the meantime?

In the Book of Ephesians 6:13-17, Paul wrote saying that when the “day of evil” comes, one should put on the “full armor of God.”  This includes:

  • Belt of Truth
  • Breastplate of Righteousness
  • Feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace
  • Shield of Faith
  • Helmet of Salvation
  • Sword of the Spirit

That is some serious protection!

You must take up arms against these invading forces and prevent their “flaming arrows,” as Paul says.

Luckily for us, these forces can only affect the thoughts that you think and the electronic devices around us.  Otherwise, the only way they cause us physical harm is through allowing them in.

If you decide to be truthful, righteous, and peaceful then you will be better protected than most.

However, having courage and faith in the Divine’s protection from harm is the most important.  Only the Creator, which manifested all of creation, can deliver you from the harm of these creatures. Just call out to the righteous forces of the Divine and they will be there in a moment’s notice.

You must have faith that the Divine has your back at every second.  There are literally legions of positive and loving angelic forces that are ready to take your side at your command!  A legion is at least 6,000 in number!

The Divine has you well protected and in these subtle spiritual states, you will need all the help you can get!

Also, don’t be afraid.  They cannot harm you, unless you let them!  Fear is an easy hole in your defenses.  Courage is an absolute necessity to progress in these levels of consciousness.

Your Own Spiritual Armor

Here are few things you can use that will help provide spiritual protection.

Physically

  1. Eat nutritious food
  2. Drink only spring water
  3. Get adequate exercise
  4. Stretch using yoga
  5. Can wear a talisman – cross, star of David, OM symbol, little Buddha, rudraksha beads, rosary, mala, prayer beads, misbaha, etc.

Emotionally/Mentally

  1. Always create a PMA (positive mental attitude) as much as possible
  2. Don’t play control dramas and don’t feed into others control dramas.
  3. Practice being the best version of yourself you can be: in thought, word, and action

Spiritually:

  1. Be devoted to your practice of the Divine
  2. Pray for anyone and everyone including yourself!
  3. Have a silent time every day
  4. Mediate, mediate, and meditate
  5. Ask for blessings from the master, guru, saint, angel, or deity of your choice

Devote yourself to the discipline of meditation and prayer and the peace of savikalpa will be yours forever.

In the next blog post, I will discuss asamprajñata, a state of consciousness that will transition you to a major samadhi state.

Yogic meditation

Meditation and Yoga

In the last blog post, I talked briefly about how self-realization cannot be achieved easily and as quickly without the use of yogic meditation.

You can use devotion or even silent prayer to reach the divine, but it takes infinitely longer and many lifetimes to achieve self-realization.

Yoga is the scientific practice for meditation – one which has been tested in the fires of time and sheer determination.

For at least four millennia, yoga and its associated meditative practices has been shown to create the greatest, most complete, and longest-lasting connection to the Divine.

It sounds like yogic meditation would be a no-brainer then, right?

It isn’t ALWAYS that simple….

Meditation takes time, period.

Does anyone have time these days?  You, me, your mother – we are ALL rushing around like chickens with our heads cut off… seriously.

It is said in some Zen meditation circles, that the less time you have to meditate, the more time in meditation required.

Doesn’t make sense does it?

Well, the more time you have to relax, the less time meditation is needed, because it is like you are already meditating during your times of relaxation.  This is what mediation trains you to do – to relax.

The more time you fuss and stress about every little thing, the less time you have to relax.  Less relaxation = more time in meditation

Make sense now?

So where does yoga fit into this whole meditation-self-realization-thing?

Yoga is a broad term describing various types of physical exercises – body positions called asanas and mudras, breath-control techniques, and basic life principles that when followed accurately and completely, help to evolve the body and brain to achieve the highest state of consciousness known as enlightenment or self-realization.

Meditation based in yoga is the vehicle that takes your spiritual evolution to the highest level possible!  It is actually one of eight aspects described by a Hindu sage, Patanjali, in his Yoga Sutras (yogic writings).  Since Patanjali is considered the father of modern yoga, we will assume that his work is like the bible for yogis and yoginis alike.

These eight aspects (limbs) are as follows:

  1. Yama (moral conduct)
  2. Niyama (personal observances)
  3. Asana (physical body postures)
  4. Pranayama (breath-control techniques)
  5. Pratyahara (withdrawal/control of the senses)
  6. Dharana (concentration)
  7. Dhyana (meditation)
  8. Samadhi (ecstatic union with the Divine)

Yoga is mostly practiced as a physical exercise in North America, but it is so much more!

Yoga was originally designed to bring you closer to God, closer to bliss consciousness, closer to true perfection.

As stated by most masters, the ultimate goal of yoga is liberation or kaivalya. This is enlightenment or self-realization.

So why doesn’t the world see the fullest value of yoga?

It is because often yoga is looked at as a religion or a part of Hinduism.  But in fact, it is just a philosophical school of Hinduism and has generally been incorporated into all belief systems of the religion.

See, Hinduism really is not one strict set of beliefs or dogmas, but a collection of many belief systems. Yoga is a school of philosophy or spiritual practice that has been integrated into belief systems of Hinduism.  This is similar to the “call and response” worship of the Christian religion.

Call and response is classically a part of both Catholicism and Protestantism, but isn’t necessarily a part of a Christian’s core belief system.  One does not have to practice it to be a Christian, but still does because it is a part of the practice of the religion.

Yoga can be integrated into any religion. No exceptions.

This physical and spiritual practice is meant to bring you closer to the Divine and does so through a definitive, scientific process, tested over thousands of years.

So… what should you take from this post?

  1. Meditation is the quickest and easiest path to a connection with the Divine
  2. Meditation is the highest spiritual version of yoga
  3. Yoga is a philosophy
  4. Yoga is not a religion
  5. Yoga can be integrated with ANY religion
  6. Meditation can help you right now with any physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual problems that you may be experiencing

Questions to ponder upon:

  • Does it disagree with your current belief system?
  • Could you take your prayer and worship a step further with meditation?
  • Could you integrate yoga into your current religious and spiritual practice?

Stay tuned next week for more info on this ascended age!
